WION, citing Israel’s Central Elections Committee, reported that the counting of votes for the two envelopes in the parliamentary election in the country has been completed.
The votes in the two envelopes are for people such as soldiers, diplomats, patients hospitalized in hospitals, and prisoners who vote outside their registered polling areas. These votes are placed in two envelopes to prevent duplicate voting and are counted in the final stages of the count.
According to the committee, so far the results for 12,644 polling stations, including 5,589,836 votes registered in the system, have been reported, of which 5,564,764 votes were valid and 25,072 were spoiled.
