Israel’s Central Elections Committee announced that with 88.6 percent of the votes counted in the parliamentary election, the distribution of seats among parties has not changed compared to the previous results.

Based on these results, the block supporting Benjamin Netanyahu will still have 53 seats and his opposing parties will have 67 seats in total, including 48 seats held by parties led by Jewish politicians and 19 seats held by Arab parties.

Despite the overall majority of the opponents, none of the two main blocs on its own has the 61 seats needed to form a government.

The elections committee said that votes from 96 percent of ordinary ballot boxes have been counted so far, and that the counting of votes from military personnel, other forces, and diplomats will begin at 1:00 a.m., and is expected to be completed by the evening of Thursday, Aban 7.
