🔶 Warning to French citizens in Saudi Arabia: avoid going to the airports of three cities

The French embassy in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, October 13, urged French citizens to refrain from going to the airports of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam and, given recent Houthi attacks, to postpone travel to these cities.

In a statement, the embassy said: “Given the security situation, French nationals are strongly advised to avoid going to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, and King Fahd Airport in Dammam, or transiting through these airports.”

The statement added that French citizens are also advised not to travel to the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam unless in essential cases.

At the same time, the Saudi Arabian cabinet headed by Mohammed bin Salman, the country’s Crown Prince, announced in Riyadh that the Houthis of Yemen, due to repeated attacks on Saudi Arabia, should be prepared to face “the consequences of their actions.”

Saudi Arabia’s official news agency (SPA) quoted the cabinet as saying that Riyadh “will not tolerate any threat to its security or shipping in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.”
