Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, welcomed Donald Trump’s proposal to establish a ceasefire in attacks on energy infrastructure and said that if Moscow stops these attacks, Kyiv will also stop similar attacks.

At the same time, seven Republican and Democratic senators in the United States said Trump’s decision to import diesel fuel from Russia is contrary to the law and called for its immediate cancellation.

Kamala Harris, the former vice president of the United States, also criticized the decision and said that buying fuel from Russia helps finance Moscow’s war against Ukraine.
