Videos newly received by Iran International show a protest gathering by people in Mianeh in Isfahan province to protest the new name of the county on Sunday, 19 Mehr, a gathering that was driven into violence by an attack by Islamic Republic officers, injuring some members of the public.

Mianeh has been upgraded to a county through people’s follow-up, but they have named it “Mianeh and Vezvan.” Protesters in Mianeh say their city’s name is historical and should not be combined with the name of another city.
