Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said in a speech in Youngstown, Ohio that the United States could not allow the Islamic Republic to obtain nuclear weapons, and added that the war with Iran would end “very soon.”
Trump said: “They will never have nuclear weapons and this will be over very soon.” He said that with the end of the war, gas prices in the United States will fall, and that they are now lower than during Joe Biden’s presidency.
Trump, criticizing previous U.S. administrations, said that Barack Obama, the former U.S. president, paid billions of dollars to the Islamic Republic, and that Joe Biden, the former U.S. president, was afraid to take action against Tehran.
He said that before taking action against the Islamic Republic, he told his cabinet members: “We have no choice. We have to do this.”
Trump added that the Islamic Republic now lacks a navy, an air force, and air defense, is facing severe inflation and a shortage of financial resources, and is seeking a deal, but “doesn’t know how” to achieve it.
He also said that Russia and Ukraine also want a deal, but they don’t know how to reach it.
