🔶 Ukraine Celebrates Its 35th Independence Day

Ukraine on Monday, August 24 (September 2), marked its 35th Independence Day while the war of Russia’s aggression against this country is still ongoing.

Senior officials and leaders from a number of countries supporting Ukraine traveled to Kyiv to commemorate the day; including Andy Burnham, the United Kingdom’s prime minister, who arrived in the Ukrainian capital as part of his first foreign trip since taking office.

Vladimir Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, challenged Putin in his address to the people of this country. He said: “Russia must be brought to its knees through the unity of the international community.”

Zelensky noted that his country had overcome challenges in the fight against Russia—challenges that at first seemed unimaginable. Zelensky added that Russia’s president had “underestimated the Ukrainian people’s determination and resolve for their sovereignty.”
