🔻The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre said in a report that an oil tanker was targeted while exiting the Strait of Hormuz and, due to an explosion caused by explosive charges attached to its hull, it caught fire.

According to this report, a small boat approached the tanker from a distance of 25 nautical miles northeast of the port of Khassab, Oman, and installed two explosive devices on the left side of its hull, above the waterline.

The explosion caused a fire in the engine room and a temporary shutdown of the tanker. However, the fire was brought under control and the vessel continued on its route to the next port. All crew members are safe, and no environmental impact has been reported.
