U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) called the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) report about the destruction of a U.S. unmanned military vessel in the Strait of Hormuz false, and said that the status of all U.S. unmanned vessels in the Middle East is clear and that none have been lost.

On Friday, 8 Aban, CENTCOM wrote on its X account that the news of the destruction of this vessel—like many of the IRGC’s reports in the current week—is a lie.

The command added that a unit of advanced U.S. unmanned vessels patrols in the Strait of Hormuz and supports CENTCOM’s defensive posture.
