The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Center said early Tuesday it had received a report about an attack with an unknown projectile on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report, the ship was hit by this projectile as it was transiting on the exit route from the Strait of Hormuz.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Center added that the incident caused damage to the engine room and injured one of the crew members, while the other crew members are also being provided assistance by the Oman Coast Guard.
