🔶 UAE rescues 22 crew members of a ship; the United States intensifies Iran’s maritime blockade

The UAE National Guard rescued 22 crew members after a fire broke out on a cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman.

At the same time, the U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, announced that it disabled a ship flying the flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis—an island country in the Caribbean Sea—after it attempted to breach Iran’s maritime blockade.

A military coalition led by Saudi Arabia also said that Saudi Arabia’s air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched toward the eastern region of Saudi Arabia by the Houthi forces.

In another development, the United States has increased its efforts to limit routes for supplying Iran with military equipment through land borders and the Caspian Sea. Tehran, too, after new attacks, warned that its responses would not be confined to a specific geographic area.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s legitimate government has asked Lebanon to take decisive action to stop military aid from the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah to the Houthis.
