The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said the Islamic Republic’s claim about closing the Strait of Hormuz is incorrect and that this waterway remains open for the passage of commercial ships.

Earlier on Friday afternoon, Iran’s government had announced that the Strait of Hormuz is still closed and that no vessel is able to pass through this waterway.
