Videos released on social media show that a fire and an explosion took place at the Arak aluminum-smelting factory. According to verified reports, the explosion and fire occurred on Line 6 of the Iran Aluminum Company (IRALCO) and were triggered by an explosion of a boiler in this production line. After the publication of these images, the governor of Arak strongly denied “the report of an explosion and any security or sabotage-related matter,” and described the event as “the occurrence of a technical incident in the power system.”
