U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, in response to his country’s new sanctions against five individuals, four companies, and nine ships for cooperating with the Islamic Republic, wrote on X: “Whether you’re moving illegal oil at sea or sitting behind the desk in a law office, if you support the Iranian government, we will find you and sanction you.”

He also said that those who help the Islamic Republic “must choose; either you are with us or against us.” He added: “We know who you are and what you do, and we will continue with our actions.”
