🔸The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said three claims put forward by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iranian state media are “false,” adding that these claims do not match reality.

🔸In a statement, CENTCOM said that, contrary to the IRGC’s claim, the passage of commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz is not inherently dangerous. It said what threatens maritime security is “verbal threats and the IRGC’s efforts to attack commercial ships and their civilian crews.”

🔸CENTCOM also rejected the IRGC claim that three F-35 fighter jets and three other U.S. aircraft were destroyed in Iran’s recent attack on a U.S. military base, saying that none of the American aircraft were damaged in these attacks and that all missiles and drones were intercepted or did not reach their targets. The institution also rejected reports by Iranian state media about the commercial tanker “MT Noura” passing through an “U.S. maritime blockade,” saying that the vessel did not pass through the blockade and that more than 20 U.S. warships, hundreds of aircraft, and thousands of American personnel are still carrying out this blockade in full.
