🔸The strike by high school students in France on Thursday, 9 Mehr, has expanded to more parts of the country.
🔸Students are protesting overcrowded classrooms, a shortage of teachers, and limited and worn-out facilities, and on Thursday they lit fires in some streets and in front of many schools.
🔸On that day, nearly 340 demonstrations were held and more than 160 high schools were closed. In Paris and Marseille, students also joined the protests.
🔸Since the start of this round of protests in the past week, hundreds of students aged 15 to 18 have been arrested.
🔸The French government has called these protests “social violence,” and Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has asked all members of the cabinet to postpone all non-essential trips.
🔸The protests began from schools in the suburbs of Paris and gradually spread to other parts of France. The government has accused far-left politicians of stoking these protests.
