👈 Trump: Hamas has been disarmed

Trump: Today, the Peace Council reached a historic agreement on the complete disarmament of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. This is a major step toward lasting peace and security.

This agreement is a critical step so that the new Palestinian government, which will work closely with the Peace Council to help the Palestinian people, will finally govern Gaza. At the same time, Israel will obtain the security it needs, because Gaza will no longer be used as a base for terrorist attacks.

This is an important turning point in implementing Trump’s 20-point plan. The agreement will be carried out in stages and with a clear structure. Once the disarmament process is completed, Israeli forces will withdraw, and international peacekeeping forces will work with the new Palestinian police to ensure security in Gaza for its residents and its neighbors.

A year ago, there was a horrific war, there was a humanitarian crisis, and people were held as hostages in savage captivity. We have achieved historic progress, and there is still a lot of work to be done.

I want to thank the mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey—for their important efforts, and especially my outstanding team, whose tireless efforts made this historic breakthrough possible.

The threat that was created from Gaza on October 7 will not have another chance to return.

Under this agreement, Gaza will finally fall under the control of a new Palestinian government that will serve its people.
