🔻Trump asked Republican voters to stay in line at polling stations
Donald Trump released a short video on the Republican Party’s page on the social network X and asked voters who are waiting in line to vote not to leave the line even after the polling stations close.
In the video, Trump says: “Hello, Republicans. Things are going very well. If you’re in line, stay right there.”
Under state election laws, voters who are standing in line when voting ends can still cast their ballots—provided they remain in line until their turn.
Trump goes on to say: “We’re going to win by a lot.”
The video and Mr. Trump’s optimistic remarks come as polls of voters show more of a tilt toward the Democrats.
Participants in nationwide polls also expressed their major dissatisfaction with the performance of Mr. Trump’s administration, such that he may set a record for declining popularity and satisfaction with the performance of a president in the middle of a second term.
