The Times of Israel, citing an informed source, said that Jared Kushner, the U.S. president’s envoy, has begun his planned meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, on the Gaza peace plan.

In the meeting, Nicolay Mladenov, the senior representative of the peace delegation for Gaza, and Tony Blair, the former prime minister of Britain and a member of this delegation, are also present, but The Times of Israel said it was unaware of other attendees.

Previously, Kushner met with Khalil al-Hayya, the Hamas leader, and after that meeting Hamas said it “endorses” approving the roadmap for the second phase of Mr. Trump’s plan.

This comes while Israel’s prime minister has called the “15-point roadmap” “unacceptable” and said that until Hamas’s real disarmament, no retreat will be made.

The Times of Israel, citing an informed source, said that differences between Israel and the United States over advancing this plan are not significant and added that the goal of today’s meeting, rather than trying to obtain Israel’s signature to the 15-point plan, is to move forward with all parts of the plan.
