On Sunday, the dollar had crossed the 200,000-toman mark and had set a new all-time record. At the beginning of this week, the market had been seeing the dollar at about 186,500 tomans and the Emami coin in the range of 191 million tomans.

Today’s jump occurs one day after the announcement of a new sanctions package by the United States.
