🔸 The presidium of the Assembly of Experts for Leadership, by issuing a statement, called for the “full practical commitment” of all officials of the Islamic Republic to positions and guidance attributed to Mojtaba Khamenei, and described reliance on the United States and reaching an agreement with Washington as futile.
🔸 In the statement, which was published on Monday on the occasion of Arbaeen, messages attributed to the leader of the Islamic Republic are described as “path-opening,” and it says that his views should be placed as the “be-all and end-all” of government officials.
🔸 The presidium of the Assembly of Experts also, by accusing the United States of “repeated violations” of the memorandum of understanding, announced that any action to pursue the rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran must be carried out within the framework of the opinions and measures attributed to the leader. The statement calls obedience to the Supreme Leader “an intellectual and religious obligation” and describes him as “the only axis of unity.”
🔸 While the U.S. president has emphasized the continuation of negotiations with the Iranian side, the presidium of the Assembly of Experts, in its new message, wrote that trust in the U.S. government is “a mirage” and that “hope for understanding and an agreement with this arrogant regime will not lead anywhere.”
