🔸Eva Marie Saint, the blonde star of ‘North by Northwest’ and one of the last survivors of the old Hollywood system, died in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 14.

🔸She was considered among the survivors of Hollywood’s golden age in the 1940s and 1950s and lived to be 102 years old.

🔸Her family announced on Tuesday that Eva Marie Saint died at her home in Los Angeles due to old age and natural causes.

🔸In her first film work, titled ‘On the Waterfront,’ she acted alongside Marlon Brando, directed by Elia Kazan, and for this performance she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1955.

🔸Eva Marie Saint then starred in the very famous thriller film ‘North by Northwest’ with Cary Grant, and with her performance opposite the star of those days in Hollywood, she became one of Alfred Hitchcock’s favorite blondes.

🔸Having been on cinema screens and television screens for six decades, she was born in 1924.

🔸Most of Eva Marie Saint’s activity was in the 1960s, when she appeared in several very well-known Hollywood films, including ‘The Hustler’ with Paul Newman, and in several other films she acted alongside Warren Beatty and Bob Hope and Elizabeth Taylor.
