The British newspaper Telegraph reported on Thursday, 7 Aban that the Islamic Republic, after attempting to interfere in Israel’s election, is preparing an operation to disrupt the U.S. midterm election.

According to Iranian officials who spoke with the newspaper, Tehran’s goal is to create division and political deadlock in the United States and Israel.

The Telegraph, citing several officials of the Islamic Republic, wrote that Tehran considers the near-simultaneous elections in the United States and Israel a rare opportunity to influence the political structure of these two countries.

One of these officials told the Telegraph: “We have been exploring ways to recruit our agents into the electoral processes of the governments of the United States and Israel.”

He added: “Powerful cyber groups have also been formed to hack their election systems.”

Another official, referring to Iran’s war, said: “We are prepared to create disruption in elections, in their banking system, transportation, and all their normal systems. We do not support any candidate in any country, but we want Americans to see division and Israelis to see division.”
