🔻Taylor Swift took home the Video of the Year award and on Sunday became the most successful artist in MTV Music Video Awards history.

The singer, who was at the start of the night next to Beyoncé with 30 awards, won the top prize of the night at the MTV Video Music Awards for the video of the song “The Fate of Ophelia.”

Madonna, the former queen of pop, received Artist of the Year, Best Dance, and Best Collaboration (with Sabrina Carpenter) for the song “Bring Your Love,” the lead single from Madonna’s 2026 album titled “Confessions 2.”

Swift also received the award for Best New Director, because she had written and directed the flashy, theatrical music video “The Fate of Ophelia” herself.
