Sweden’s foreign minister, in response to a question from a member of parliament about the new system of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s judiciary branch—which he had described as a tool for spying on and reporting on opponents—expressed concern about the intensification of violations of human rights in Iran. He also supported the legitimate struggle of the Iranian people and emphasized protecting Iranians living in Sweden against threats and actions by the Islamic Republic.
