Informed sources said that nine female political prisoners in Evin prison have been deprived of telephone contact with their families for one month. At the same time, Minu Rozeh-dar has been deprived for one month of visits with her family and lawyer and of receiving medicine, books, and essential items.

The nine prisoners affected by this ban are Golrokh Iraei, Bita Ali Hemati, Tara and Kimia Doudi, Minu Rozeh-dar, Fatemeh Panah Rezaei, Sekineh Parvaneh, Nesim Simiari, and Gazal Marzbān.

According to the sources, prison officials have not announced a reason for this ban, and the prisoners became aware of the blocking of their cards when they attempted to make contact.

The sources said that Rozeh-dar was threatened by a security force after taking off her headscarf in the hospital. The escort officer, after taking her back to Evin, took Rozeh-dar to security forces stationed in the prison.

Prison officials also refused to provide Rozeh-dar with educational books that they had previously been granted permission to bring into the ward.

Rozeh-dar is the mother of three children aged seven, 10, and 12. Over the past few years, she has been detained four times and has been imprisoned in Evin since her most recent arrest in Dey 1404.
