Some citizens, in their messages to Iran International, pointing to the crisis of shortages and rising prices of medicine and medical equipment, have reported the sale of expired medicines in pharmacies and the market.

According to one citizen, the situation has become so dire that expired medicines are sent back to the factory and then returned to pharmacies with new expiration dates.
