The UK Maritime Trade Operations organization announced that a tanker was targeted in the northeast waters of Saudi Arabia on Friday evening, 24 Mehr, by a small boat equipped with an RPG launcher.

In the attack, part of the tanker was damaged, but all its crew are safe.

According to the organization’s warning, the incident occurred at 22:52 Tehran time, 78 nautical miles northeast of Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The tanker’s captain reported that the attackers carried out the attack on the ship from a small boat with an RPG launcher, and as a result, the rear part of the tanker on the left side was damaged.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations organization announced that the status of all identified crew members has been confirmed and they are safe, but a complete assessment of the extent of the damage and the possible environmental consequences of the attack is not yet available.
