A photo received by Iran International shows that the family of the executed dissident Alireza Reisi—the one with the “javidname”—have been able to visit his grave for the first time.
On the day Alireza Reisi was executed, security officers blindfolded his father and took him to the burial site, but because they were concerned about a gathering of people, they did not inform the family of the exact burial location.
Earlier, a source close to Alireza Reisi’s family told Iran International that after his execution, security officers transferred his father for burial while blindfolding him and returned him without showing him the exact burial location. Reisi was among the executed protesters in the widely known case dubbed “Aliqhani Square” in Isfahan.
Reisi, a cousin of Ramin Reisi—one of those killed in the protests in Isfahan in Dey (December)—was arrested on 29 Dey 1404 and was sentenced to death for the charge of “enmity against God.” He was executed on 13 Mehr (September/October).
