Sky News Arabic reported that Iraq’s prime minister has ordered an investigation into the attack on the Khor Mor gas field in Sulaimaniyah province, located in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.

The order was issued after a drone attack on Sunday, 17 Aban, on the facilities of this field. Reuters reported that the attack hit gas storage facilities and caused production to stop at one of the largest gas fields in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.

The Khor Mor field is one of the main sources for supplying gas to power plants in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, and it has previously been targeted by attacks.
