Asieh Amini, a social issues analyst, referring to the execution of three protesters in Karaj, said the Islamic Republic is continuing the killings of the protesters of Dey through issuing death sentences, putting pressure on families, and limiting information-sharing about the cases.
She, referring to the process of case handling, including denying defendants access to the lawyer of their choice, forced confessions, and holding court sessions without public notice, said charges such as moharebeh in some cases have been attributed to actions including setting fire to a trash bin or coordinating to attend protests.
