🔶"Shahr-e Ketab complex in Babol sealed"
According to the Human Rights website HRANA, the “Shahr-e Ketab” bookstore collection in Babol County was sealed by the Public Places Oversight Department, with an order from the judicial authority. As HRANA reported, citing ۲۴ Event, no details have been published about the exact date and the reason for this action.
The Shahr-e Ketab in Babol operated in the sale of books and cultural products and also hosted some group cultural events and programs.
The released report did not mention any business or trade violation or an official reason for the sealing of this establishment.
HRANA wrote that, given the recent wave of crackdowns on businesses, social media pages, and public places, it is possible that the sealing of Shahr-e Ketab in Babol was also carried out as part of this ongoing trend.
This news agency had previously reported that, between 20 Tir and 10 Mordad, at least 23 business units in different cities across Iran had been sealed.
According to HRANA’s report, a review of recent incidents shows that the scope of restrictions has gone beyond the virtual space and has also included public places and cultural and business units.
