🎥"Rocket fuel test" for children; an experiment that brought down part of the hall’s ceiling

A chemical experiment that media outlets have dubbed a “rocket fuel test” was held in a science program for children and teenagers in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, and it was accompanied by the collapse of part of the hall’s ceiling. The circulation of images of the incident has raised questions about the safety of this program.

The program was held on Saturday, 16 Aban, at the amphitheater hall of the Kanun-e Parvaresh Fekri (Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults) for Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. The Kanun’s news website reported the presence of students and families at the event.

The organizer introduces himself as a researcher and university professor. He holds scientific experiments for children and teenagers in various cities across Iran. In a video released on Sunday, 17 Aban, part of the hall’s false ceiling collapses while one of the experiments is being carried out. It has not yet been determined what safety measures were considered to protect those present, or whether anyone was injured in the incident.
