Reuters, citing sources, says that Iraq’s prime minister canceled his planned meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince after attacks by Iraqi militias near Iran against this country.

According to these sources, Ali Zaidi was scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman tomorrow in Jeddah, but the meeting was canceled after attacks by Iraqi militia groups supported by Iran against Saudi Arabia.

The attacks prompted an unusual response from the United States and Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the night, the two countries jointly targeted positions of Iran-backed groups in Iraq. The Popular Mobilization Forces has confirmed the killing of its forces in these attacks.
