‌🔻Increase in inflation in Iran continues while the country’s statistics center, in a report, has announced that the inflation rate for Iranian households for the one-year period ending in Tir is 66 percent. This figure was 62 percent in Khordad.

In the report of this institution, point-to-point inflation in Tir this year was announced as 87.9 percent. This means that, on average, Iranian households in Tir this year paid 87.9 percent more than in Tir of the previous year to purchase the same basket of goods and services.

In Khordad this year, in terms of monthly inflation, inflation for Iranian households increased by 3.1 percent.

The consecutive rise in inflation rates in recent months does not paint a clear picture of the livelihoods of Iranian citizens, and this situation is worse for food items, with the inflation rate approaching three digits.

Inflation in raw materials and rising production costs have been among the factors affecting the prices of services and goods.
