🔻Reuters, citing a spokesperson for the office of the Israeli prime minister, has reported that the change in route of a flydubai flight from Dubai to Israel and its landing in Saudi Arabia was not due to aircraft hijacking.

After an emergency status was declared, the plane changed its route and landed at Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia.

FlightRadar24 previously reported that the aircraft initially sent the general emergency code 7700 and then, for a short time, the code 7500, related to “unlawful interference,” before returning again to 7700.

The Times of Israel reported that “a dispute between the pilots was the reason for the change in route and the declaration of an emergency status.” Further details about this dispute have not yet been published.
