🔶 Reuters: 5,000 entities are secretly procuring military equipment for Iran
Investigations by Reuters show that the Islamic Republic has used a network made up of more than five thousand entities linked to the Ministry of Defense to import the materials and equipment needed for its missile and drone programs despite Western sanctions and the U.S. maritime blockade.
According to the news agency, the only entity with the identifier “MOD 346428” imported about $2.3 billion worth of equipment and materials with military applications from January 2025 to June 2026; from rocket fuel precursors and explosives to aircraft engine parts and trucks that can be converted into launch platforms.
Reuters identified the network with the cooperation of the Israeli-American risk consultancy “240 Analytics,” and by reviewing thousands of banking documents, government documents, company registration records, and transportation and logistics documents.
The numbered entities have a common address with Iran’s Ministry of Defense, and some are linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and foundations under the control of officials of the Islamic Republic.
