🔶 Fox News: There may be severe attacks, but the US response to Iran is likely to be short-term after the elections
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said that Iran wants a deal to end the war with the United States, but that it would not be in its favor if Tehran delays reaching an agreement until the US midterm elections in November.
On Tuesday, October 27, he said: “Maybe they’re waiting for an election or something like that, but it won’t help them.”
And in response to a question about the likelihood of a renewed US attack on Iran after the elections, he said: “I can’t tell you, but anything is possible.”
According to a Fox News reporter, US military activity in the Middle East is aimed at preparing options for Trump in case he decides to resume attacks.
According to related sources, there is still no sign of a definite decision by the US president to launch another attack.
The reporter, citing the Wall Street Journal as well, also reported that Washington has told several Gulf Arab states on the periphery of the Persian Gulf to be prepared for a short but intense military campaign against Iran after the midterm elections.
