Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, president of Türkiye, said he wants to hold talks with Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, about ending the war in Ukraine. He met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, president of Ukraine, in Türkiye last Saturday.

According to Reuters, on his return from South Korea, Erdoğan told reporters that the foreign minister and other Turkish officials are consulting with both sides to hold a possible meeting between Russia and Ukraine in Türkiye.

Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesperson, said there is not yet a specific plan for a call between Putin and Erdoğan, but if necessary, coordinating it can be done quickly.

At the same time, the peace talks process led by the United States continues. According to Steve Witkoff, representatives of the United States, Russia and Ukraine are expected to discuss ending the war, post-war security arrangements and reducing tensions in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11.
