Prince Reza Pahlavi, in reaction to the execution of Abolfazl Sepahi Badjānī and Amirhossein Safi Huseinabadi, two protesters from Dey, wrote to the international community.
He said the Islamic Republic has, for years, been executing protesters and political prisoners in prison, but now, out of fear of a renewed uprising by the people of Iran, has brought the executions into the streets so that, through a display of death, it can intimidate society and force it into silence.
He added that the lives of at least eight other detainees in this case are still in immediate danger and that at any moment they may become victims of the Islamic Republic.
Prince Reza Pahlavi also wrote: “Today, two Irans are standing against each other; on the one side is the Islamic Republic, a criminal and repressive government, and on the other side are the brave and heroic people of Iran.”
In the end, he emphasized: “The Iranian nation will not back down and will continue the struggle, but they should not be alone in this battle. The free world must stand alongside the brave women and men of Iran.”
