🔻 Pezeshkian: Palestine remains at the top of Iran’s foreign policy priorities

The President of Iran spoke by phone with Khalil al-Hayya, the new head of Hamas’s political bureau.

Iranian media reported that Masoud Pezeshkian, in this phone call, said: “Palestine continues to remain at the top of Iran’s foreign policy priorities.”

Mr. al-Hayya was appointed head of Hamas’s political bureau.

Over the past nearly three years, and after the October 7 attack on Israel, Hamas has been subjected to intense Israeli attacks, and many of its leaders have been killed.

Ismail Haniyeh, who was the head of Hamas’s political bureau, was targeted in an attack and killed two years ago during a trip to Tehran to attend the inauguration ceremony of Mr. Pezeshkian.
