🔻Iranian media report that the National Iranian Oil Company’s bank account has been blocked due to debt.
Based on these reports, the Industry and Mine Bank has blocked the accounts of the National Iranian Oil Company because of a debt equivalent to 287 trillion tomans (287 همت; thousand billion tomans).
Due to U.S. sanctions, the deadline for repaying the National Iranian Oil Company’s debts has been extended until the end of 1405.
Meanwhile, Morteza Roohi, the tax deputy of the financial management at the National Iranian Oil Company, told Tasnim that this is a legal issue for companies that have government budgets but cannot disclose some of their financial information.
He said that the legal deputy of the president entered the matter and issued an order to stop the payment of the 287-trillion-toman fine in the budget of the National Iranian Oil Company.
Mr. Roohi emphasized that, considering the order from the deputy of the vice president, he is not worried about the National Iranian Oil Company’s accounts being blocked. 📷SHANA
