🔸The France News Agency, citing Tahir Andrabi, the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote: “Negotiations between the parties continue, especially regarding the Strait of Hormuz and easing tensions.”
🔸The emphasis on the continuation of negotiations between Tehran and Washington from Pakistan’s side as well as from America’s side comes while, in the past few nights, after a several-day pause, attacks by the sides against each other have begun again.
🔸In the early hours of Wednesday, the seventh of Mordad, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired several ballistic missiles from Iranian soil as part of an effort to carry out a surprise attack on American forces deployed in the Middle East. All Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted.
🔸In the early hours of Thursday, the eighth of Mordad, the U.S. Army targeted areas in Iran that, in a report by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), were described as “a heavy wave of attacks.”
🔸CENTCOM wrote on its official account: “These attacks are a powerful response to Iran’s attempted attack yesterday on U.S. forces deployed in the Middle East.”
