🎥 Netanyahu explicitly rejected Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza
Benjamin Netanyahu explicitly rejected Donald Trump’s 15-point plan for peace in Gaza. The Israeli prime minister says that until Hamas is completely disarmed, his country’s army will not withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, had announced last month that Hamas had agreed to the 15-point peace plan for Gaza. Under the plan, Hamas would be disarmed in exchange for Israel leaving the Gaza Strip. The office of the Israeli prime minister had previously raised concerns about the plan but had not explicitly rejected it. Netanyahu has now emphasized that Hamas disarmament must include all of the group’s heavy and light weapons, and that the Israeli army will not withdraw from Gaza before that. He also said that as long as he is in power, he will not allow the establishment of a Palestinian state in Gaza or the West Bank.
