Meir Javidanfard, an analyst of Israeli affairs, said Naftali Bennett, by raising the “Octopus Doctrine,” pursued a policy of direct confrontation with the Islamic Republic rather than focusing solely on its proxy forces. According to him, Bennett was also able to maintain Israel’s relations with the United States and Europe and prevent the widening of internal divisions.

Javidanfard, criticizing the policies of Benjamin Netanyahu, said his actions toward Israel’s judiciary have deepened social rifts. He added that, to effectively confront the Islamic Republic, Israel needs not only military capability but also national unity, a strong economy, and greater participation of Haredi citizens in the army, and he believes Bennett will pursue these priorities.
