Mehdi Mehdavi-Azad, in the program “Outlook,” said that the plan “to counter the infiltration of intelligence services, governments, and foreign institutions” in practice has nothing to do with countering espionage or safeguarding the country’s information, and is the continuation of the same process that had previously been pursued with plans such as the “internet protection” measure and the bill on chastity and hijab.

He added that the plan continues an approach which, according to him, in the later years of Ali Khamenei’s leadership was used under the title “infiltration” to counter manifestations of civilization and progress, and now too, with the same language, even greater restrictions are being imposed on society.
