Massoud Pezeshkian, Iran’s president, says it is now time to end the war with the United States because Tehran is in a “position of power” vis-à-vis Washington.

Mr. Pezeshkian said: “It is better today, when we are in power and dignity, and the whole world admits our victory and emphasizes that, contrary to all regulations, America has attacked our schools, hospitals, and infrastructure and is hated around the world, to end the war.”

The Iranian president also described the outcome of negotiations between Iran and the United States, which led to the signing of the Islamabad agreement, as a “great achievement” that “was approved with unity and solidarity in the Supreme National Security Council, and everyone who is in that council and had a hand in the fire defended it decisively.”

Continuing, Mr. Pezeshkian criticized those who “sit out of the game” and “do not know in what conditions the government is, in what conditions the parliament is, and in what conditions the commanders are; they give unsolicited comments and analyses, and none of the hardships and sufferings has reached them, and then they talk about inflation.”
