🔻 عراقچی: The country’s situation is truly war-like, and we are far from peace

Iran’s foreign minister said, “The country’s situation is truly war-like, and we are far from peace.”

In remarks that Iranian media published, Abbas Araqchi said, “In the current conditions, the country is facing both war and military threats, as well as extensive economic sanctions. The reality today is that the country’s situation is indeed war-like, and the war is still ongoing.”

Mr. Araqchi raised this issue today at a ceremony for National Export Day. Masoud Pezeshkian, the president, was also in attendance at the event.

Earlier, we reported that Mr. Araqchi, in an article in today’s issue of The Financial Times, wrote that “America has shown no inclination toward an understanding with Iran.”
