The United States imposed new sanctions in relation to Iran
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced today that it has added five individuals, four companies, and nine ships to the list of persons and entities subject to sanctions under sanctions related to Iran.
In a statement, the U.S. Treasury said that sanctions have been imposed on the law firm Karnakis and Karnakis, which operates in Greece and Panama, and “has supported Iranian shipping for years.”
Under the new U.S. sanctions, two shipping companies in Dubai and Singapore were also sanctioned for alleged cooperation with Iran’s shadow fleet.
