Masoud Pezeshkian said on Monday, 20 Mehr, at the ceremony for the reopening of the universities of the country for the new academic year: “If they martyr us, there are better ones who will come and stand by this country and put their lives on the line for the dignity of these people.”

Pezeshkian added: “University faculty and students can save us from the situation we have found ourselves in.”

Regarding the price of gasoline, he said: “Everyone knows that you cannot sell gasoline for 1,500 tomans. The transportation cost of gasoline is five thousand tomans, but we sell it for 1,500. The issue is very clear, but if we want to intervene all at once, we would upset the entire society.”

Pezeshkian also said: “Am I insane that I would be told the right thing and not accept it? Let someone show me the right way and I won’t accept it?”
